The fine print
Studio policies
Please take a moment to review our guidelines. They help us keep the studio safe, respectful, and enjoyable for everyone.
Booking & payment
- All class and event bookings must be made in advance through our website, by phone, or in person.
- Payment is due at the time of booking to secure your spot.
- We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as studio gift cards.
- Prices are subject to change, but confirmed bookings are locked in at the rate paid.
Cancellations & refunds
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before a class or event are eligible for a full refund.
- Cancellations within 48 hours will receive studio credit valid for 90 days.
- Private lessons require 24‑hour notice for cancellation or rescheduling; late cancellations incur a 50% fee.
- No‑shows are not eligible for refunds or credits.
- If the studio cancels a session (rare!), you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
Age requirements
- Kids’ classes are designed for ages 5–12. A parent or guardian must sign a waiver before the first session.
- Adult classes and events are 16+ unless explicitly stated as all‑ages or family events.
- Students under 18 in adult classes must have a signed parental consent form.
Studio safety
- Closed‑toe shoes are required in the pottery and kiln areas.
- Long hair must be tied back when using the potter’s wheel.
- Follow instructor guidance when handling glazes, kiln equipment, or sharp tools.
- Food and drinks are allowed only in designated areas, away from art materials.
- Report any spills, breaks, or injuries to staff immediately.
Studio conduct
- We maintain a welcoming, inclusive environment. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
- Respect other students’ artwork, materials, and personal space.
- Clean up your workstation after each session — brushes, palettes, and wheels should be left as you found them.
- Personal belongings should be stored in provided cubbies; the studio is not responsible for lost items.
Pottery & fired work
- Fired pieces are typically ready 2–3 weeks after creation. We'll email you when they're available for pickup.
- Unclaimed work will be held for 60 days. After that, it may be donated or recycled.
- We do our best to fire all work carefully, but occasional cracks or glaze imperfections are part of the process. The studio is not financially responsible for kiln mishaps.
